A 25-kilometer tailback has been created after a disordered truck towed away at Chandra area on Dhaka-Tangail highway.
A truck was disordered Chandara area under Mirzapur upazila around 1pm was behind the long traffic jam, Officer-in-Charge of Salna highway police station Shahriar Hasan told the Dhaka Tribune.
It was seen that about 25 kilometers long traffic jam was created from Kodda bridge of Gazipur City Corporation to Gorai of Mirzapur upazila.
Besides, a long traffic jam was remained on Nabinagar – Kaliakoir highway, the OC informed.
The vehicles are now moving slowly, our correspondent reported at 5:15pm.
It will take a few more hours to get back to normalcy, the OC said.
