Malaysia police rescued the father-in-law of Savar MP Enamur Rahman on Friday night, two days after his abduction.
Fazlul Haque was abducted near Sepang International Airport in Kuala Lumpur while returning to Bangladesh on Wednesday night.
Malaysia police also arrested nine persons for their alleged involvement with the kidnapping.
RAB detained two persons – Al Amin and Nazrul – in this connection on Friday morning.
Getting information from the detainees, the foreign ministry in Bangladesh provided the information to Malaysia police, family sources said.
On the basis of the information, Malaysia police detained a member of the kidnappers gang.
Later in a drive, they rescued Fazlul Haque on Friday night.
