A prisoner of Brahmanbaria District Jail has allegedly committed suicide.
The deceased Abdul Karim, 75, was accused of a murder case.
Jail caretaker Gias Uddin said: “Karim hung himself at the jail hospital around 9:30am on Saturday.”
He said: “Karim had been admitted to the jail hospital due to gastric problems on Friday. The body has been sent to the district sadar morgue for autopsy.”
Nasirnagar police station Officer-in-Charge Md Abdul Quader said Karim was accused of a murder case.
