The Teesta water sharing agreement between the two neighbouring countries -- Bangladesh and India -- would be signed soon, Awami League Advisory Council member Suranjit Sen Gupta, MP, has said.
The AL leader came up with the statement while addressing a gathering at Madhurapara Bazaar Primary School in Dirai upazila of Sunamganj following distribution of school uniforms, free of cost.
A high-level discussion was going on between the top leaders of the two countries in this regard, he informed.
Suranjit cited that we have gained a huge chunk of the sea that was claimed by India and Myanmar, earlier.
"We shall utilise it and become even more prosperous in future, "he added.
