Green Journalism Workshop at EU

With the theme “Citizen Journalism for sustainability and development”, Eastern University Journalism Forum (EUJF) organized a workshop on “Green Journalism for Sustainable Development” with the collaboration of Shobujpata and Bd Environment for University students in Dhaka city on September 25, 2014 (Thursday) in Eastern University Seminar Hall.

In the programme, the resource persons were Special Correspondent of Channel 24 Shahed Alam, Lutfor Rahman Himel News Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin, Assistant Editor of The Daily Samakal Sheikh Rokon, BRAC University’s Journalism Training and Reserch Initiative (JATRI) Chief Executive Jamil Ahmed while Shobujpata Trustee and special correspondent of RTV Bayezid Ahamed, Bd Environment Editor-In-Chief Md Ashraful Alam and Environment Expert Professor Dr. Ashraf Hossain were also present.

The programme was conducted by EUJF senor vice president and Editor of Campus Mirror AFM Moshiur Rahman ans preside by EU Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury.

Resource person had been tried to get trained students how to write and presents on newspaper, magazine, television and radio about environmental issues for country’s sustainable development. They spoke out on expand green, environmental tasks, citizen journalsim to prevent climate change matters.

Incidentally, they emphasized to expand space for environmental matters on mass media.
