Police, in a joint drive, have arrested a person from Shirajganj's Ullahpara area for his alleged involvement in the killing of four people in Keraniganj.
Keraniganj and Ullahpara police arrested Nasir, 29, in a joint drive at Ullahpara on Monday night.
Ullahpara police station Officer-in-Charge Tajul Huda said: “A police team from Keraniganj contacted us.”
“Acting on a tip off, the team along with police officials from the police station conducted the drive and arrested Nasir at night,” he said.
Dhaka ASP Kazi Maksuda Lima said: “We have acquired information that Nasir was present in the house during the killing.”
Police arrested seven people, including two prime suspects, in the Keraniganj murder case on Friday.
On September 24, Shaju Ahmed, 35, his wife Ronji Begum, 28, their son Imraan, 7, and daughter Sanjeeda, 2, were found dead at a building in Kolakandi village of Kadampur in South Keraniganj area.
