DGHS director: Don't be influenced by coaching centres

The medical students should not to be influenced by coaching centres, says Director of medical education at Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof ABM Abdul Hannan.

He made the statement while talking to the journalists regarding the medical admission test on Tuesday morning.

The director said: “The students should not to be influenced by coaching

centres, rather, they should concentrate on their studies.”

Taking about the admission test, he said: “The admission applications have already been submitted. We have started preparation for the admission test which is to be held on October 24.”

A total of 68,442 application were submitted for the medical admission test. The applicants will be competing for 3,162 MBBS seats and 532 BDS seats available at the public universities, and 4,800 seats in medical studies and 1,050 seats in dentistry at the private medical and dental colleges.
