'Robbery gang internal feud leads to Keraniganj murder'

Internal feud of a criminal gang led the cold blooded murder of four people including two minors in Keraniganj, police revealed following arrest of seven people in this connection.

Police claimed that the father of two minors were involved with a robbery gang. His gang members after killing him did not spare his wife, the son and daughter to wipe out witnesses.

Of the arrestees, two directly took part in the murder. One supplied yaba to the killers and rest four helped the killers to escape and hide at different stages.

A team of Keraniganj police led by Dhaka district police's superintendent Habibur Rahman brought the arrestees to the media center of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) around 11am on Friday.

The SP briefed the reporters about the killing.

However, the alleged killers were not produced at the briefing.

Following a photo session they were taken back to Keraniganj (south) police station.

On Wednesday, the couple Shaju Ahmed, 35, his wife Ronji Begum, 28, their son Imraan, 7, and daughter Sanjeeda, 2, were found dead at the first floor of six-atorey building in Kolakandi village of Kadampur in South Keraniganj area.
