United Airways operations remain suspended

United Airways, a local private airline company, will remain its all kinds of operations suspended from Thursday for an indefinite period.

The announcement was made at a press conference held at the company’s head office at the capital’s Uttara on Wednesday evening.

A group of senior officials of the airline were present in the briefing.

“We found none of the management to declare the announcement of the carrier's stepping down, and we are not responsible to take the decision, but as the airline has financial crisis it can't run from Thursday,” Wing Commander (Rtd) Ferdous, director administration told the Dhaka Tribune over phone around 9pm on Wednesday.

The decision came  a day after the airline's Chairman and Managing Director Tasbirul Ahmed Choudhury resigned.
