The South Korean government has agreed to increase import from Bangladesh, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said.
The minister made the disclosure in a press release issued on Wednesday after a meeting with South Korean acting minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Moon Jae-do in Seoul, reports BSS.
Tofail expressed South Korean government eagerness to recruit more manpower from Bangladesh along with enhancing its investment in the country, the release also said.
According to the commerce ministry, South Korea has an investment of 600bn Korean dollars in 72 business entities in Bangladesh.
There is a huge trade gap of $854.39m in favour of Korea as Bangladesh exports worth $344.81m to South Korea against its exports worth $1199.2m.
