Two men have been killed in two separate road accidents at Baraigram upazila in the district early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Mridul Chandra Sarker, 42, son of Nitai Chandra Sarker of Nondikuza village under Doyarampur union of Bagatipara upazila and Abdul Quddus Molla, 60, son of late Nabir Uddin Molla of Agran village under Baraigram upazila.
Quoting eyewitnesses Fuwad Ruhani, officer-in-charge of Banpara highway police station said Mridul was distributing invitation cards to his relatives for his son's rice-feeding ceremony by driving his motorcycle early Tuesday.
A Dhaka-bound speedy passenger bus dashed his motor cycle from the behind while he was crossing the Kasutia-Khejurtala area. He died on the spot.
Moreover, a human hauler hit Abdul Quddus while he was crossing the road at Agran area of Banpara-Hattikumrul highway around 7pm on Monday.
Locals rushed him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment early Tuesday.
