Railway authorities have started evicting illegal establishments in Dhaka cantonment area as part of a new drive to remove illegal structures set up along rail tracks in the capital.
The fresh eviction drive in the area started around 9am on Tuesday.
Earlier, illegal establishments were evicted from Malibagh to Khilgaon flyover and Karwan Bazar areas.
The railway authorities initiated the drive along the rail tracks following a tragic train mishap that killed four persons on September 11.
The accident took place when a train rammed into a makeshift market on its rail tracks near Karwan Bazar Kitchen Market in the capital.
