International Master Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar took a solo lead in the points table of the Berger Paints National Chess with full three points at the end of the third round held at the media room of the Bangladesh Olympic Association yesterday.
In the third round Sagar beat Sheikh Nasir Ahmed to climb to the top. Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman is in second position with 2.5 points after a win against Khandokar Aminul Islam.
Grandmaster Enamul Hossian Razib drew with Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Grandmaster Abdullah Al Rakib drew with Sohel Chowdhury and Grandmaster Niaz Murshed drew with Masum Hossain in the other third-round matches.
