Four children were severely wounded while playing with a crude bomb they found in a dump near Jabbar Jute Mill at Banchabati village in Bhairab upazilla of Kishoreganj district
According to police and local sources, the children picked up the bomb and started playing with it thinking it was a tennis ball. The explosion blew off the wrist of Hridoy, 7, son of Akkas Mian.
The explosion also severely injured Hridoy’s his sister Marannafa Akter, 7, Khalil’s daughter Surma and Zakir’s child Arash, 3.
They were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical conditions.
Bhairab Police Station Officer in Charge Bazlul Alam Talukder said evidence from the exploded bomb was collected for further investigation and actions will be taken accordingly.
