KM Shafiullah has been elected as the new chairperson of Sectors Commanders' Forum.
Harun Habib, acting secretary general of the forum, disclosed the information to the Dhaka Tribune on Friday.
He said the decision of electing Shafiullah was taken unanimously in a meeting of the working committee held at their Dhanmondi office in the morning.
The decision was taken after the committee accepted the resignation letter of former chairman AK Khandker.
