Two people have been killed as a speedy-driven covered van hit a stationed truck from the behind in Majidpur area under Pabna Sadar upazila.
The deceased are covered van driver Nurul Islam, 35, and Abdul Jalil, 42.
Pabna Sadar police station Sub Inspector Hamid said: “An Ishwardi-bound covered van from Pabna hit a stationed truck from the behind on Pabna-Ishwardi Highway around 5am, leaving covered van driver and another person dead on the spot.”
The police suspected that the covered van driver might have fallen asleep and hit the truck.
