On the occasion of the birth anniversary of filmmaker Tareque Masud, a short film contest is being organised by Tareque Masud Memorial Trust. The theme of this year's edition of the contest is “My Freedom, My Fight” while the entries can be either fiction, documentary or animation and should not be more than 10 minutes long.
Interested individuals can submit their entries within November 15. The jury includes Catherine Masud, Morshedul Islam, Khusi Kabir and Prosun Rahman.
The first 10 films will be screened in the festival to be held on December 5 and 6 in the capital. A Tareque Masud Young Filmmaker Award will be handed to the best young filmmaker.
