The government will set up computer lab at 2,000 educational institutions across the country.
Posts,Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique made the disclosure at the parliament on Wednesday.
"Each lab will have 21 laptops, a printer, a scanner, a multi-media projector, two routers and equipment for language learning under the project," he told the house.
Siddique said this while replying to a question of treasury bench member AKM Shahjahan Kamal during the question and answer session of the House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
The minister said a project in this regard has been sent to the planning commission for approval with provision to implement from July 2014 to June 2016.
After assuming power from 2009 till date, the government has also set up computer lab at 3,544 educational institutions throughout the country, he informed.
