Bangladesh and South Korea have joined hands together to increase the capacity of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Under a training programme on capacity building for forensic science investigation, Korea International Cooperation Agency has sent 25 Bangladeshi officers to Seoul to provide specialised service in the field of criminal investigation through forensic science technique.
Forensic investigation refers to the application of science in the examination and establishment of evidence used in criminal justice.
KOICA has developed an exceptional country focused training programme tailored particularly for Bangladesh, said a KOICA press release.
The training is to be held from Sept 18 to Oct 3 at the Institute of Justice.
Resident Representative of KOICA Bangladesh Office Kim Bok-Hee hoped that they would be able to apply the lessons learnt from Korea into their workplace.
