Nepal wants to establish an Expatriate welfare bank like its South Asian neighbour Bangladesh.
A delegation of Nepal government came up with the desire after they met Expatriates' Welfare Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharrof Hossain at his office on Monday.
Financial Advisor to the prime minister of Nepal, Dr Chironjibi Nepali has led a six-member delegation.
Among many agendas, they discussed about The Probashi Kallyan Bank (Expatriates’ Welfare Bank) and its formation procedures.
Dr Nepali said that his government wishes to set up a similar bank for the expatriate workers of Nepal.
He highly praised the actions taken by the government of Bangladesh for the welfare of expatriate workers.
He also expressed that many countries will follow the lead of Bangladesh in this issue.
