Customs officials have seized 100 gold bars weighing 11.7kg at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The gold bars were seized from a flight of Flydubai Airlines on Monday morning.
Assistant Commissioner (Customs) Farid Al Mamun said: “Acting on a tip off, a team of customs officials searched the flight and recovered the gold bars that were hidden under a seat around 11am."
He said the gold bars are worth Tk5.30 crore.
