Mymensingh cotton factory catches fire

A cotton factory has caught fire at Mashkanda area in Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Industrial zone in Mymensingh.

The fire broke out at the factory around 11:15am on Sunday.

Fayjul Kabir, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense unit in Mymensingh, said: “The fire broke out at around 11:15am and soon engulfed the other parts of the building."

He said two units from the fire services went to the spot and doused the blaze around 12:15pm.

The station Officer said: “The cause of the fire could not be known immediately. No one was injured in the fire.”
