Customs officials have detained three people with 17 gold bars at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
The detainees could not be identified immediately.
The customs officials detained two of them on Thursday night and another on Friday morning.
Chittagong Customs House Assistant Commissioner Moshiur Rahman Mondol said: “Two of them were held with 14 gold bars at night and another was held with three gold bars in the morning.”
He said: “Two of them had come from Muscat while the other came from Dubai.”
