Three persons have died and four others fell sick after taking liquor at Ratanpur rail station area under Kaliakoir upazila.
The deceased were identified as Hasan Ali, 28, son of Akkas Ali; Mobarak Hossain, 25, son of Abul Hashem; and Shahin Mia, 30.
Locals in Ratanpur area said six persons fell sick after taking excessive liquor on Wednesday midnight. They were rushed to Gazipur sadar hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.
Confirming the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths, Kaliakoir police station Sub-Inspector Rajib said the four ailing people were undergoing treatment at sadar hospital.
