A fire has gutted a jhut warehouse in the Shimultali area of Ashulia of Savar on Monday night.
On information, three units of firefighters from Savar and Ashulia rushed in and put out the fire at around 8:30pm, said Abdul Hamid, senior station officer at the Ashulia DEPZ Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).
The official said no casualties were estimated and the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
The fire was first sighted at a tin-shed warehouse of Abul Bashar at 8:15pm.
“As the fire engulfed jhut’s warehouse, the fire fighters rushed to the spot”, Abdul Hamid said.
