Titumir College BCL men vandalise 50 vehicles

The activists of Government Titumir College Chhatra League, student wing of the ruling party Awami League, have vandalised more than 50 vehicles during the party’s factional clash on Monday evening.

The activists took to the road at 6pm, staged demonstrations and started vandalising vehicles, causing disruption to vehicular movement on Gulshan-Mohakhali road, Sub Inspector (SI) of Banani police station Golam Rabbani said.

On Sunday, a BCL committee was formed at Titumir College unit and students failing to get positions in the committee staged the demonstration and vandalised vehicles on the road, the SI said.

Being informed, two teams of police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

“Vehicular movement on the road came to normalcy around 7pm, but around 50 vehicles had already been vandalised during the process.”
