Nazrul Sangeet legend Feroza Begum has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Apollo Hospital in the capital as her condition deteriorated.
She had a pacemaker implantation on Monday morning to make the heart functioning normally, said the hospital officials.
According to the Bangla Tribune, a sister concern of the Dhaka Tribune, her heart, lungs and kidneys were not functioning properly. Moreover, she has been diagnosed with jaundice.
The heart of the popular singer was not functioning properly on Monday morning and she had a pacemaker implantation, said family members.
Shafin Ahmed, son of the legendary singer, told the Bangla Tribune: “She should go through kidney dialysis by the afternoon. The dialysis process can be started only after her heartbeat comes to a normal stage.
“She has been undergoing treatment since last Friday and has been shifted to the ICU this morning as her condition deteriorated.”
