The members of Chittagong Bandar Rakkha Parishad led by former CCC mayor ABM Mohiuddin have been observing hunger strike programme demanding the removal of container operator Saif Power Tech from the Chittagong Port.
They have been observing the programme at the Chittagong port building gate since 10am on Sunday.
ABM Mohiuddin said: “Saif Power Tech has a strong connection with the Pakistani ISI group. They are working as Pakistan's agent in our country.”
He alleged that despite knowing the fact, the port authorities are not taking any action regarding the matter.
The hunger strike programme is scheduled to continue till 6pm.
