Police have arrested three members of an admission test fraud gang at Azimpur in the capital.
The arrestees Mamun, Shanto and Tariq are students of Dhaka College.
Sub-Inspector of Lalbag police station Amzad Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune that the three arrestees admitted that they are the members of a gang works in fraud of university admission tests.
They were arrested with laptops and some other devices from the sixth floor of a building at Azimpur residential area in the afternoon, Dhaka University's acting proctor Amzad Ali said.
Later, they were taken to the Lalbag police station.
The admission tests for the first year honours courses at Dhaka University began on Friday.
