FBCCI urges calling off today’s hartal

The Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI)  has urged the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and its student wing Islami Chaatra Sena to call off their today’s dawn-to-dusk countrywide hartal for the sake of maintaining the country’s overall economic development.

Country’s highest business apex body came up with the plea in a statement released yesterday.

As an atmosphere congenial for doing business and investment is now prevailing in the country, foreign investors from various countries like China and Japan are keen to invest in Bangladesh.

It also urged the government to arrest the killers of Nurul Islam Faruqui as soon for assuring the highest punishment of the culprits.
