A total of 214 doctors, out of 6089 of 33rd BCS posted on Thursday, have been postated again as officers on special duty (OSD) at the Ministry of Health, attaching them to various upazilas in the country.
They were asked in an order yesterday to join their new office by August 27.
The newly-posted doctors are those who have already served conditionally at various upazilas or are engaged elsewhere for post-graduation since they were appointed as adhoc doctors.
They were yet given new postings at various upazilas on Thursday, sparking anger among them.
They then complained to the health directorate of it and taking the complaint into cognisance, it had recommended their re-posting and the health ministry followed it.
Joint Secretary (personal-1) Habibur Rahman confirmed the new posting to the Dhaka Tribune too.
Despite Health Minister Mohammad Nasim's promise, all couple doctors have not been posted at the same working station.
Joint Secretary Habib said some of 440 couple doctors could not be posted at the same working station.
