Democracy International (DI), a Washington DC-based organisation, has launched a new research tool called Computer-Assisted Telephone Survey System (CATSS) on Bangladesh and a website named Bangladesh Barometer yesterday.
CATSS is a fully automated computer-based telephone interview system customised for Bangladesh context.
Bangladesh Barometer is an interactive online platform that includes all survey data, media monitoring data and electoral data through interactive graphs/visualisation, which will help explain the political temperature of the country.
DI’s Democratic Participation and Reform project Chief of Party David Dettman said: This technology will provide more accurate and up-to-date research data to the media, political parties, and other stakeholders, to help facilitate more responsive politics in Bangladesh.”
