The government has decided to introduce plot system for industrial lands instead of selling them on the basis of tender, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said .
She came up with the statement while addressing the media during her visit to the Industries Ministry on Sunday morning.
The PM said: “Previously, the large industrial lands were being sold at very low price because of tender. People were submitting tenders for the sake of submitting it.”
“But now we have decided to sell lands on the basis of plot system. The plots will be sold to the investors as per the industrial zone already existing in the area,” she added.
Hasina said: “More textile centres will be established in the area which has a good number of textile factories.”
Talking about the scope of jute, the PM said people like eco-friendly products like jute and plans should be made regarding this so that the country gets more investments.
