Around 30-32 agencies have submitted bar codes to the Hajj office under the religious affairs ministry, which they received from the offices of Saudi Arabia till Friday.
Bar codes will be required for the eligibility of visa for performing Hajj.
Mizanur Rahman, director of Hajj office under the ministry, told the Dhaka tribune of the development.
He said the agencies which have got the bar codes will manage the procedures of around 5000 pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arab during the Hajj time this year.
The ministry official also said this year around 1600 pilgrims will perform Hajj under government supervision.
Among them so far 226 had been handed over visas, he said. Processing of more 500 are underway.
To make the processing of the visa faster, 11 E-reader machines have been employed. More E-reader machines are required to make it faster.
He said some of the agencies are trying to import the E-readers from Saudi Arabia as well to make the process faster.
