Emon starrer action-romantic flick “Kokhono Bhule Jeo Na” will hit the cinemas tomorrow. Here, Emon will be seen as an action hero for the first time in his career. Moreover, the talented actor is now the centre of discussion as he just confirmed his name in the cast of “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini 2” featuring Shakib Khan and Jaya Ahsan. Interestingly, Emon is “not playing a romantic role” in that film as well.
Dhaka Tribune caught up with the star to know more about his recent ventures:
Was it difficult for you to transform your image for “Kokhono Bhule Jeo Na?”
It was not very tough as I was really looking forward to doing an action film. As soon I got the offer, I tried my best to pull off the character.
Your feelings on sharing the screen with Shakib Khan and Jaya Ahsan?
Working with experienced actors like Shakib and Jaya feels great. In several occasions I met Shakib and we have a good rapport. I worked with Jaya in a TV play “F M Shongbad” and have developed a good understanding. I hope our affinity will surely reflect in the film.
I am a big fan of Jaya and Shakib. I saw “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini” in the cinema with them. I’m very excited to work in the sequel.
How did you land the sequel?
Well, I was offered to work with Shakib Khan in many projects previously. This time I just grabbed the offer as the storyline is completely different from the previous ones. My character has many dimensions which will give me the opportunity to prove my skills.
Your character in this film?
I am not supposed to reveal much about the character, all I can say is that, I have an important role to play and it is very positive.
Are you going to snatch the heroine from the mighty Shakib Khan?
It is not a love tri-angle. Here, I’m in the centre of a game plan and the rest will be kept secret so the audience will have a big surprise while watching the film.
Are you focusing in films only?
Yes, I have not worked in TV plays and telefilms for a long time. Besides, I am also keen to continue modelling as I started my career as a model.
