Dead bodies of three migrants to arrive today

Dead bodies of three Bangladeshi migrant workers who died in an accident in Malaysia will arrive today in Dhaka.

Expatriates’ Welfare Board Director Md Ziauddin yesterday said he would hand over the bodies to the families.

The labour wing also informed that the families of deceased migrants would get compensation as per the labour law of Malaysia as the workers were working legally there.

Mohamad Faruk Khan, Mohammad Elahi Hossain and Mohammad Alauddin Mollik were killed on Monday night when a concrete span collapsed at the Mass Rapid Transit work site in Sungai Buloh.

Malaysia is one of the major labour markets for Bangladesh and around 5,00,000 workers are at currently working in Malaysia.
