A school student has died while swimming at Ratargul swamp forest under Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet on Sunday.
The deceased is Nazim Uddin, 14, class-VII student of Jalalabad Cantonment School and College.
Deputy Director of MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Dr Tanmoy Bhattacharya confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune.
Locals said, Nazim along with his friends went to Ratargul in a bicycle trip.
Nazim had gone missing while he was swimming with his friends in Goain River.
Later, locals rescued him and admitted to the MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where on duty doctor declared him dead.
