Popular singer Nazmun Munir Nancy, who fell sick at her residence at Chhotogara in Netrakona district town after taking excessive sleeping pills on Saturday evening, was shifted to Labaid Hospital in the city on Sunday.
Hospital sources said Nancy was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital from Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 10 am.
Quoting family members, Sufia Jesmin, a nurse of Netrakona Sadar Hospital, said Nancy fell sick as she had been taking excessive sleeping pills since Friday afternoon.
She was first taken to Netrakona Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital(MMCH) as her condition deteriorated.
As her conditioned did not improve at MMCH Nancy’s family members brought her to DMCH early in the morning.
