An Imam has been electrocuted at south Matlab upazila in Chandpur on Saturday.
The deceased is Mohiuddin, 40, son of Dr Habibur Rahman, was the Imam of Bagichapur Sardar Bari Jame Mosque at Narayanpur Union of the district.
Witnesses said Mohiuddin came in touch with live electric wire when he picked microphone to call for Johor prayer and electrocuted immediately.
Later, locals rushed him to the Matlab Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
