Three passengers have been killed and eight others injured in Kadompur area on the Dhaka- Mawa Highway under Keraniganj Thana on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said, the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound micro-bus collided head-on with a Mawa-bound bus of 'Ilisha Paribahan’ around 4.30 pm, leaving three passengers dead on the spot and eight others injured, BSS reports.
Local people and police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.
The bodies were sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital for autopsy.
Police seized the killer bus but its driver managed to flee away from the spot.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
