Police have detained a person with two counterfeit notes of Tk1,000 denominations and 400 pieces of yaba tablets at Morkun Masterpara area of Tongi early Monday.
The detainee is Afir Uddin,50, son of Lehaz Uddin, of Haidarabad area of Gazipur.
Tongi police station Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman said police searched Afir for his suspected movement around 5am in Morkun Masterpara area and seized the forged notes and yaba tablets from his possession.
A case was filed against him with Tongi police station.
