A solo art exhibition titled “Through the Eyes of Artist Ali Asgar” is going on at the Café M in Mohammadpur in the capital. The works in display in the café wall are from his early student life and considered as brilliant display of artworks skilfully done using water colour and print media.
Expressing optimism about the success of this show, the artist said that the visitors in Café M would find tranquility seeing the artworks.
His works showcase the freedom, the harmony and the coexistence of all beings. The theme thus celebrates the virgin nature in its purest form.
The artwork portrays a space where the spectators can find peace in the still life. Through the brush strokes he has created harmony and symphony and an ambience of still life.
One of the visitor of the show said: “The artist has talked about nature in the simplest possible way. He has a very clear understanding of colour and space as evidenced in the works.”
To discover the inner beauty of natural objects, print media is considered to be one of the best mediums. As he had chosen printmaking as his major in his university days, he had a natural obsession for it.
The artist was born on 1991, Dhaka. He is a honours final year student of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. He was an exchange student of Millikin University Illinois under NESA Undergraduate Program Scholarship. In 2011 he won Media Best Award in pencil sketch in the annual art exhibition of Faculty of Aine Arts, University of Dhaka. The exhibition will be open to all until August 18, every day from 12 noon to 10pm.
