Four people have been injured when their car was hit by a train on the railway track at the Malibagh rail crossing in the capital on Friday.
Malibagh police Officer-in-Charge Abdul Mazid has confirmed of the train accident to the Dhaka Tribune.
The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.
They have sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Of the injured, the condition of the car driver is critical.
Eye-witness said the car violated the railway gate signal and tried to cross the railway track from the wrong side of the road.
As a result, the car carrying four people was hit by the train coming from Chittagong to Dhaka.
Police sources said the accident is a result of reckless driving and violation of traffic rules.
