At least one person has been killed and four others injured in separate accidents near Katakhali bazaar area under the upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased is Himel Bepari, 25, of the upazila.
Munshiganj sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Shahidul Islam said: “A three-wheeler hit a motorbike from the behind near Katakhali bazaar area, leaving Himel, the biker, dead on spot and two others injured in the afternoon. The injured have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.”
He said: “Two others were injured in an accident in the same area after falling from a motorbike. The injured have been admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital.”
