Five people have been killed and 10 others injured on Tuesday morning in two separate road crashes on Bhanga Kawarakandi road in the district.
The Chumurdi accident claimed one life while the Maligram four, reports BSS.
The three of the dead were identified as Al Amin, 22, Zahid, 28 and Tarikul,18.
The injured were admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
According to highway police sources, two microbuses met the accidents within half an hour at Maligram and Chumurdi while carrying Eid holiday travelers from Kawrakandi to Takerhat, who were coming from Dhaka to Gopalgnaj.
The sources said both the vehicles were at high speed and fell into ditches after hitting roadside trees.
