Downey, who restored his career with the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man in the eponymous Marvel franchise, has now become irreplaceable for the studio and thus, earned himself substantial pay increases for the “Iron Man” and “Avengers” sequels.
Downey Jr, who is expecting his second child with his wife Susan, will again be seen on the big screen with yet another hit film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in 2015.
Rounding up the top ten in the highest paid actors list are Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson ($52m), Bradley Cooper ($46m), Leonardo DiCaprio ($39m), Chris Hemsworth ($37m), Liam Neeson ($36m), Ben Affleck ($35m), Christian Bale ($35m), Will Smith ($32m) and Mark Wahlberg ($32m).
