With a view to create awareness among the people against the Jamat-Shibir and BNP violence, one faction of Gonojagoron Mancho led by Kamal Pasha, arranged a five day long cartoon exhibition at Shahabag ‘Projonmo Chattar’ in the capital.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the exhibition on Monday around 11:30 am, while Projonmo-71 president Shahin Reza Noor, Jagroto Jonota convener Habibullaha Mesbha, Muktijoddha Shongshad Shontan Command president Mehadi Hasan were present among others.
Kamal Pasha said these symbolic cartoons mainly focus on the cruel activities of Jamat-Shibir and BNP and will create consciousness among the mass people against the evil forces.
Fifty cartoons on different incidents of violence by Jamat-Shibir and BNP were exhibited in the exhibition.
Talking to Habibullaha Mesbah, he said through projecting the cartoons they mainly demonstrate the violence by Jamat and BNP centering war crimes verdicts and January 5 election when they killed many innocent lives, including police, and set fire to public transports.
“In this five day campaign, we will organise street drama, songs (Ganasamageeta), and project movies of the liberation war,” Mesbah said.
Citing the cartoon exhibition as an innovative idea, Shahin Reza Noor said this exhibition is projecting the evil deeds of those forces, which people can see just at a glance.
“Our campaign is against those who wants to create anarchy in the country and want to eliminate the inspirations of the liberation war by foiling war crimes trial,” he added.
