BSF picks up Bangladeshi farmer

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has picked up a Bangladeshi farmer at Dabri frontier area under Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon district on Monday morning.

The Bangladeshi farmer is Mohammad Wasim, son of Altaf Hossain of Geruadangi village under Haripur upazila.

BSF personnel picked Wasim up while he was cultivating his land around 11am.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 30 Intelligence Officer Major Tawhid said: “We have protested about the matter over the phone to BSF and a company commander level discussing is going on to bring back the Bangladeshi farmer.”

“We will soon send a letter to BSF in order to hold a flag meeting,” he said.
