A couple has been killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a covered van and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Mirpur Notunbazar area under Bahubol upazila of Habiganj on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased are Sunil Acharya, 50, and his wife Rina Acharya, 35, of Moulvibazar.
Shayestaganj highway police station Officer-in-Charge Ejajur Rahman said: “The covered van collided head-on with the Mirpur bound CNG-run auto rickshaw, leaving the couple dead on the spot and 2 others injured.”
Later, police recovered the bodies and sent the injured to local hospitals, he added.
