Book on Tajuddin’s letters published

A book named “Chithi” that contains 118 letters of the country’s first prime minister Tajuddin Ahmed was launched at a programme in Planning and Development Academy auditorium yesterday.

Tajuddin’s daughter Simeen Hussain Rimi anchored the programme. Prof Anisujjaman presided over the event where Finance Minister AMA Muhit and writer Muhammed Zafar Iqbal spoke.

Prof Anisujjaman said: “A new era of history has been introduced with the launch of the book.”

Zafar Iqbal said: “Through the book, we have been able to give something new to our next generation.”

Muhith said Tajuddin was finance minister for a short time, but, development in the sector by him was remarkable.
